We are seeking a dedicated, experienced heavy equipment/truck mechanic to join our dynamic repair team. You'll address complex mechanical issues on diverse heavy machinery in this crucial role. The ideal candidate will be proficient with hydraulic systems and electronic controls, with a strong field service and equipment repair background. Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel issues in heavy equipment & trucks.
- Utilize OEM websites for service manuals, OEM diagnostic software, perform factory updates, and maintain adherence to manufacturer’s labor guidelines.
- Operate a service truck to reach various customer locations, maintaining a professional presence at job sites.
- Conduct Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA) at each job site, ensuring compliance with safety standards and awareness of potential hazards.
- Manage warranty submissions, part storage for reimbursement, and maintain precise documentation for billing and record-keeping.
- Update customer machine data in enterprise and customer relationship management systems (ERP and CRM).
- Maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, and manufacturers, supporting department goals aimed at customer loyalty and accurate data management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment or trucks, with additional construction equipment repair experience considered an asset.
- Proficient in understanding and troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electronically controlled machinery.
- Familiarity with essential computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and dealer diaonostic systems.
- ASE qualification advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license, and clean driving record . A CDL License or other relevant certifications are highly valued.
- Physical ability to lift heavy parts and equipment, and safely access all parts of an industrial or construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
Shift Schedule
- Full-Time/ Part-Time
- 7am-5pm.
- Monday- Friday, weekend and after hours call outs as needed.
- Overtime maybe manditory depending on work load and customer needs.
